The printer accidentally inserted the same picture twice in my first magazine article. This is the missing picture for step number “d”. If you are making this dress this is the skirt assembly.
This was pretty exciting first for me. Today I got my issue of the magazine and also my Samantha doll back from the photographer. I want to thank the people at HandWoven magazine for taking such good care of my little girl! The editor has expressed an interest in my toddler dresses, too, so I’ll have to get busy working on them so I have something to show her when she’s ready.
Autumn
Randy built a fire in the shop stove this morning. He said it was for me, Ain’t that thoughtful! lol We have not had a frost yet but as you see, the leaves are turning anyway. This is grand father’s Hickory, maybe the only one this side of the Mississippi. It puts on a great show every year. Reminds me of butterscotch. The Woodbine on the porch is bright red and maroon, and tho the maples are starting to turn a little there is not much color elsewhere.
Well, there is this bit, below. A classic fall picture in this area. I guess I need to remove the pumpkins and the flower vase from the top of the wood stove as I am guessing there will be a fire in it this evening. Hope your autumn is cozy! Get your looms out & get a start on winter projects!

Autumn Rain
Rained lightly this morning but all in all a lovely day for going to town, where it was sunny and pleasant, the kind of day you hope for is you have to go to Redding, CA. I did bring home my new computer. I hope I can get it set up and figured out. x your fingers for me!
Home again!
The Oregon Flock and Fiber Fair was great! We had a beautiful day on Saturday and lots of people came out. We met new weavers and old friends! Sunday it rained in the morning but the afternoon, tho overcast, was pleasant.
But I am sooooo happy to be back in my woods where the only sound this evening is a few crickets and a frog or two! We camped about 50′ from a Very Busy railroad track… we got very little sleep! Next year some other new arrangements have to be made!!!
But Little Hazel Rose brought Mom and Dad by to see us again and she even agreed to model my toddler dress. I was delighted to find that it fit her nearly perfectly! Mom says she’s 2-T.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We’ll be off to Lambtown next weekend but have to spend this week restocking! But not tonight. tonight I’m going to sleep soundly and quietly!

Well, there goes my big rug loom. 
I lost my loom room and could not find a place for the Cambridge so offered it to another weaver. It was taken by a weaver in Montana. Her husband and son arrived yesterday to pick it up and take it to it’s new home. I am sorry to see it go but I know she will make good use of it. Now I have only to sort though my huge stash and get the Baby Wolf warped up and working.
Meantime, I am weaving on the Tumbling Block and the Diamond looms weaving Christmas projects. We’re also working feverishly in the shop to get ready for both OFFF and Lambtown coming up.
I read of fiber shows all over this fall so i know you are all finding lots of inspiration for your looms!
I have been working…
I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted but things have been hopping around here. I’ve lost my loom room… the rented studio where I had my big rug loom and my huge yarn stash… so have been busy trying to make space here for everything. I did find a new home for the loom with a weaver who I am sure will put it to good use.
But I am getting some weaving done on the small looms. I am working on a popular crochet pattern… The Ripple afghan. I’m making a small version for a doll blanket and using the small tumbling block loom. It would also work with the diamond. I’m using Christmas colors as It’s going to be near that time by the time I finish.
Into September…
… and here I am, behind in my posting again. We have been busy getting out orders and now I have lost my loom room where the big rug loom has been living. I think I have found a new home for it but I still have my monstrous yarn stash and assorted other things to find new homes for.
But meantime… the potted garden is doing beautifully. Witness the elegant eggplant! It sets in a tall metal stand at the corner of the deck. The tomatoes are in even larger pots at the foot of the deck. They have more of an insolent sprawl, lounging over into the deck on one side and the deer fence on the other. The pot of green peppers is tidy and green and well behaved, but they are all producing very well. I even have two small pumpkins on vines which are creeping across the lawn. Himself mentioned today that the grass under them needs mowing. Not sure how we’re going to accomplish this with everyone intact.

We sent Justin home because he starts school tomorrow. But it’s kind if lonely around here now, too. Sis came down today to spend some time this week while Randy is off working on his step mom’s place, so I am not altogether alone.
And it’s a good thing she did come as she was able to discover the problem with my computer so I am once again able to post photo’s here and my stamps program is working again so I don’t have to make the 16 mile trip to the post office every day to ship looms!
And she told me I was making pictures too big for this blog so this time I’m being conservative. Here are Justin and I before we headed to the airport. I don’t need that orange sweater today, for sure, as the temps are back into the 90’s for a couple days before taking a sharp dip back into the 70’s. What a weather year we’re having! lol Hope your summer has been interesting!
Doll clothes
Well, here’s the cargo pants and her new Heart On Her Sleeve sweatshirt. I am still having trouble up loading pictures to the net so a lot of my list stuff is getting posted here. These are some things for a chaeity, not sure just yet which ones will be included in the end. The cargo pants are a little big so may try that again a tince smaller.
