She got it finished. She used three 14″ squares, woven every-other nail with her very bulky first time-spinning handspun yarn. She and Stephanie spun the yarn and Kool-aid dyed it. Karen wove the squares and I crocheted the strap for her. She says she wants to use it for carrying fat file folders around the school.
Wow, that looks beautiful! Was the yarn only one ply? That’s what I’m going to try and make my squares with. If it doesn’t work out right though I’ll two ply it and then weave every other nail too.
I love the projects the boys did too! You have a very crafty bunch there! 🙂
Well, I’d better get back to doing the edging for my 4 yo ds’s sweater. When I get that and a couple more little projects finished up, I’m going to start weaving for my blanket! Blues, purples, and cream colors!

I love the colors in your bag…and this is done with Kool-Aid??? Next time I go to the market I’ll have a new respect for the stuff! Haven’t touched it since I was a kid in the 1960s!

The very best use of Kool_Aid is for dying protien fibers! lol I used to drink it, too, but now have secind thoughts. But it sure makes the yarn smell good for awhile!
