Local newspaper headlines this week.

There’s been four accounts in Coffee Creek and Trinity Center this month. It’s early for lions to be down here but I think it’s the fires having driven the herds down so the lions had to come too. But people are not used to seeing them, as it’s usually after snowfall and people & pets are not out as much. If you are concerned, the flash scared the lion off and the deer got up and took off up the hill after the rest of her herd. The lion went hungry.
Yeah, I feel sorry for her, too, but everybody has to eat. I feel sorry for the cows & chickens, that I eat, too, but I’m still not a vegetarian. However… I do keep my cats indoor this time of year.

The loom maker’s other job.

When he’s not in the shop he’s building stuff. Here he is making a foundation in the rain. The first rain since spring but tho it made a little mud, it was nice and cool for his hard work! We have an 80% chance of rain tomorrow and most of us are looking forward to it. I’ve caged the cats today. They won’t be going outside again until spring. They don’t like it of course, but they wouldn’t like going to lunch with a lion or other critter, either. :O
