Keeping them occupied!

{{popup Cori_and_the_squirrels2.jpg Cori_and_the_squirrels2 482×643}}The Greatest Show On Earth!

I lost the other picture of her watching the squirrels so you won’t find it below. Sorry, I’m still learning this. Anyway, I feed the birds and squirrels outside this door and it keeps her entertained. The cats love it, too.

Winter wonderland Everywhere!

{{popup Rogue_River_1a.jpg Rogue_River_1a 540×405}}It even snows in Oregon!
Sis’s place in Rogue River, OR even has quite a lot. Hopefully signalling the end of their drought years. She says, “I guess I’ll need to go out and build a snowman in the front yard, doesn’t seem right not to.” πŸ™„

Randy’s hard work

{{popup gramsyardclose.jpg gramsyardclose 857×643}}A way out at last!
Randy got the old Gimmy dug out but the county road was still not open by New Years Eve. You can see him standing there on the edge of the porch, admiring his handywork. He did a lot of shoveling this week!

Keeping warm

{{popup !woodshed.jpg !woodshed 482×643}}The most important building in a storm!
A view of the woodshed Monday morning before Randy started shoveling. We are okay in one of these storms. Wood heat, propane cook stove and water heater, gravity water system, propane lanterns. But the computer will not run on this gas! Oh well… πŸ˜› I got a lot of work done on my quilt! Have just one more square to weave and the border, which I’m going to crochet.
Granmother has been sleeping in the back kitchen, her main house needing electricty for heat. She is enjoying the adventure. :hehe:

More snow

{{popup !church_blog.jpg !church_blog 640×480}}Coffee Creek Community Church
There was no church here in 1953 and Grandmother wanted a church so donated the land and the community built this one. It’s still in use. But I don’t know if they’ll be able to get to it by Sunday!

Our Week-long snowstorm in Northern California…Shasta Trinity nat’l Forest

{{popup !mycar_blog.jpg !mycar_blog 640×480}}!I won’t be going anywhere this week!
Picture link above. As you can see I was not driving this week! This was taken early Monday (12/27) morning, during the first snow. We already had over 30 inches. The power was already out and the county (there’s no $ for overtime) had only just started trying to dig out. They had to get the only grader to come dig out the two dump trucks with blades that they usually use to plow snow. They couldn’t handle this one! We just got dug out New Years Day. The power came on again later New Years Day.
A good start to the year!
